27th Bonaire International & Local Fishing Tournament

For the entire island to interact at this fun event, we look forward

many visitors to part take in our fishing festival.  There will be a



Watch the fishermen bring their catch to the scales and cheer them on.



There will be DJ's, live music and other entertainment along the shore, Including Bouncers and more.



Don't have a boat yet, build one yourself.  We are looking for fun and inventive boats.



The rules are simple...

• You must have fun.

• Max. Length 3.5m (11.5 feet) - no limit on the width or height. 

• You may use any materials as long as they are not polluting.

• No motors are allowed, sails, paddles, feet or any other non-motorized power is OK.  (you may use pre-made paddles, though self made are more fun!)

• The boat must be self-built.  You can NOT use pre-made items such as parts of old boats, kayaks, floats... as a base.  Bottles, tires and other recycled goods are perfect, but it must be more than just a plain tire for example.

• It must support a crew of 2 or more people (no maximum) for approximately 100m.

• All participants must know how to swim, just in case...

The prizes will be for the fastest, best use of recycled materialsm most creative and for the most professionally built boats. Start building now and compete or just come watch.  We are looking forward to many simple, creative and entertaining boats!
