The International Bill-fishing Tournament
The International portion of the Tournament is a Catch and Release Bill Fish tournament. There are great cash prizes for the overall winners, Besides the overall prizes there are many additional chances to win, such as the first catch of the day and various challenges throughout the day. There are valuable prizes for the categories of the largest each of Tuna, Wahoo and Dorado.
We look forward to welcoming back the many boats from Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao and look forward to increasing participation from Venezuela and beyond. The Captains meeting and opening is on Thursday the 22nd and fishing is on Friday and Saturday the 23rh and 24th.
This year, the grand prize for Breaking the Antillean Record for the largest Blue Marlin (803lbs) will be a a Toyota Hilux. Cash prizes of $13,000 dollars will be split between the top three boats for their Bill-Fish catch, plus first catch for each day. Local boats are also welcome to participate in this competition.
The organizers look to take great care of the fisherman, having a great buffet dinner and festival events on each of three nights, Breakfast in the morning and even a take away lunch and beer for each boat daily.
The organization respects efforts in marine conservation and promotes catch and release fishing and circle hooks.

Local Fishing Tournament
The local fishing tournament is open to boats of all sizes and anyone on Bonaire. The goal of this event is to recognize the skills of the local fisherman allowing them to compete without taking away their catch. The local fishermen are aiming for fish for consumption rather than bill fish. This year the boats will be split in 2 categories those under 17 feet and those 17' and longer. The local groups will be fishing on the Saturday of the event. They will share cash prizes of $2,000.
